Olive oil is ideal for releasing the aromas and flavors of fresh herbs such as chives or basil. To do this, finely chop the herbs, then place them in a glass jar or jam jar. Add olive oil to completely cover the chopped herbs.3. Drying herbs: Drying is a classic method for preserving aromatic herbs for long periods. Simply place your herbs between two sheets of paper towels and microwave them for one minute. Repeat this process until the herbs are dry and crispy. You can also use the oven to dry herbs. Spread the herbs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and place them in the oven at 45°C for about 30 minutes, checking their condition regularly.
